Nicki Silton began dancing as a youngster in Sandy, Oregon. In her youth, she demonstrated a passion for dance, taking classes in ballet, tap, jazz, and by age 10, she had choreographed several dances - mostly to Ace of Base - to perform for her parents and stuffed animals. In her high school years, she found her niche in cheerleading and hip hop. As an adult, Nicki discovered the Country dance scene, soon became a line dance champion at the 2007 Portland Dance Festival, and began instructing at Duke's Country Bar & Grill. Country lead her to West Coast Swing in 2008 and to partnering with Doug Silton in 2013.
